Web-based - No software to install
Just X-Cart eNews is completely Internet-based. You access it via an industry-standard browser. This means that there is no software to install, it is always available and you can access it from any computer that is connected to the Internet.

 

You don't pay per user, you pay per account so that means you can author and manage your newsletters from work, home, or as part of a team.

 

In addition, because Just X-Cart eNews is run completely from our server, sends do not clog-up your Internet connection and there is no need to leave your computer on for recipients to access images or to monitor click-thru tracking.

Unlimited mailing lists
You are not limited to a single mailing list - in fact you can have as many as you like. That means you can segregate your customers / suppliers / members / partners / or whatever you like. Each list can be managed separately and you can even have recipients on more than one list.

 

Import and Export mailing lists

Each list can be imported and exported. Our list import uses standard CSV/Text format so it is easy to create with Microsoft Excel or Notepad. You can include just email address or you can add extra fields.

 

The import feature is ideal for integration with your CRM system. All you do is export your email addresses out of your CRM before you want to send a newsletter.

 

We also give you an Export function that lets you extract any subscribers that have joined your list from your website or from referrals.

 

Add, change, remove members
Each list also allows you to do all of the usual things you'd want to do - Add, Change, Remove recipients.

Summary list statistics


Lists allow display of summary statistics including total members, number active, number unsubscribed and the number awaiting confirmation.

Our easy-to-use interface also allows you to view lists by member status.

 

Add Subscribe to List code to your website
To help to grow your lists you can add a subscribe feature to your website. This means that visitors to your website can enter their email address and will be sent an opt-in message to confirm subscription to your newsletter. This is a simple and effective way of getting your message out to prospective customers.

 

To do this all you do is add a simple piece of HTML to your website. We give you the HTML for each list that you want to allow subscribe feature. You can even capture extra data and extract it as part of the export feature.

 

Test List for testing your newsletter
When authoring a newsletter it is handy to be able to test it on a few recipients before you send it to your whole list. You have all of the standard list maintenance facilities on your Test list so you can add and remove recipients as you need to.

We create a fully custom designed template for you to reflect your business image.

 

Whenever you want to send a newsletter, all you have to do is fill in the blanks through the Just X-Cart eNews website. The Just X-Cart eNews system then takes your content and formats it into the template, so there is no formatting or layout work for you to do, and you don't have to have any specialist training or know HTML. You can then just send the completed newsletter to your mailing list.

 

The template cost is a once-off cost, and you can reuse the template as much as you like.


Multiple templates per account
You can also have multiple templates with multiple formats if you require. For instance, some customers have a 'newsletter' format and a 'notice / announcement' format.

 

Additional templates based on a similar design to your first template are discounted. Ask us for more details.


WYSIWYG Editor included
Custom designed templates come standard with a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) Editor.

 

The WYSIWYG Editor makes formatting your content easier, with features such as:

 

  1. MS Office-like toolbar for formatting functions
  2. Bold, italics, underline
  3. Cut, copy, paste, undo, redo
  4. Numbered and bulleted lists
  5. Tables
  6. Text and image alignment
  7. Easily insert hyperlinks and email links
  8. Insert any number of images in your articles, anywhere you like, and resize images while you edit.


Timeframe
Once your order and payment is received, allow up to 14 business days for initial artwork to be ready for review. After the artwork is approved, the template can be built and made live for use within 5 business days.

There are 3 ways you can add recipients to mailing lists:

 

  1. Importing your existing list, perhaps from your CRM system;
  2. Entering them manually; and
  3. From your website.


Each of these easy-to-use techniques add recipients to your lists so that you can send newsletters to them.

Each newsletter you send includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. Any unsubscribes are handled by Just X-Cart eNews system automatically for you. You can request to be notified of the unsubscription - but you don't have to maintain the mailing list manually.

 

Notification of subscribes / unsubscribes direct to your inbox


If you wish, you can be alerted via email each time a member subscribes or unsubscribes from one of your lists. If you have a close relationship with your recipients then this is a feature that allows you to keep track of list activity.

 

Bounce management
A "bounce" occurs when an email cannot be delivered. This commonly occurs where recipients change jobs and leave their organisation. Often their mailbox is removed and future emails "bounce".

 

Within the Just X-Cart eNews system you can configure your account to automatically remove bounced emails from your lists. This can save you time and effort in keeping your lists clean.

 

Resend any failed emails
The Sending monitor allows you to review failed sends and resend those that fail.

 

Subscribe A Friend option included in your template
If you want you can have a referral system built into your newsletter templates. This means that recipients can enter the email address of their colleagues and those colleagues will then get an opt-in request to also join your mailing list.

 

If you want your mailing list to be "closed", you can choose not to have this feature included in your template(s).

 

Auto send of a newsletter when someone subscribes to your list
If you use the option of allowing subscription from your website you can also configure for new recipients to receive the latest copy of your newsletter automatically. This means that new subscribers get instant access to your latest newsletter rather than having to wait for your next issue.

 

This feature is configured for each list and does not have to be used if not required.

"What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) editing for your articles is a standard feature for Custom templates and optional for Generic templates. The WYSIWYG Editor makes formatting your content easier, with features such as:

  4. Numbered and bulleted lists
  5. Tables

Customisable Subject line
You specify the subject line for each newsletter. This makes it easy for you to send a newsletter that appears meaningful for your recipients. For example, you can use "April 2008 Newsletter" as the subject to make it clear the content of the newsletter.

 

Include your own images and photos
You can load images, logos and photos, even PDF documents, into the Just X-Cart eNews system. Once loaded, you can then include them in your newsletter content.

 

We give you a generous allowance of 100M for storing your uploaded files.

 

Personalisation
You can personalise your newsletters by referring to recipient's name and/or other attributes. For instance, start your newsletter by saying "Hello Steve" to make each recipient think the newsletter is just for them.

 

Include your own HTML
If you don't know HTML then you don't need to worry because no knowledge of HTML is required for you to create your newsletter.

 

BUT, if you do know how to use HTML then we allow you to insert your own HTML code to do custom formatting.

 

Save your newsletter for re-editing and sending later
We understand that it is not easy to complete a newsletter in one sitting so you can save your content and return to it later. You can even run a Test send and then get feedback before you do a final send to your mailing list.

Campaign Tracking (click-thru) statistics by member, date, web link
The optional Campaign Tracking feature allows you to track any click-thru from your newsletters. Click-thrus can be reported by member, by date or by link and in each case you can then drill-down for additional details.

 

This powerful option allows you to determine which articles are of more interest which allows you to refine and improve your newsletters over time.

 

Open rate statistics
Our "open" detector helps you to measure how many of your newsletters are opened.

By comparing issue-to-issue you can track effectiveness of your newsletters which helps you to refine content and make it more relevant to your readers.

 

Export Campaign Tracking statistics
The optional Campaign Tracking feature also allows you to export the statistics so that you can create custom reports or import the details into your CRM system.

 

Send Tracking - monitor sends in progress
The Send Tracking monitor allows you to see as sends occur and newsletters are opened. All you have to do is refresh to watch as the sends occur.

 

Monthly reports direct to your inbox
Each month we send you a report outlining the status of your mailing lists and the sends you have done. This is an easy way to monitor the growth of your mailing lists and to see how many recipients are getting your newsletter.

 

Monthly reports for the previous 12 months in your account


We send your monthly report to your email address but you can access past reports online in your account. This enables you to review past periods and compare growth month-to-month.
