Via your hosting console you can add an additional layer of security to your X-Cart admin. This extra security will cause a pop-up window to come up when you go to the admin section. In that pop-up you will need to enter a username and password before you even get to the admin area where you would normally enter your X-Cart admin username and password

Microsoft Corp announced on December 16th, that it will issue an emergency patch [today] to quash a critical Internet Explorer bug that attackers have been exploiting for more than a week. The advance warning came less than a week after Microsoft acknowledged that exploit code had gone public and was being used by hackers to hijack Windows PCs running IE.
